Pinocchio (2023)
Model, Retop, Texture and Mocap Animation
Sculpt
For this Mocap project, I took Guillermo del Toro's design of Pinocchio and created a 3D animation for it. I started by doing a sculpt in Nomad in which I mainly focused on the head and torso since they are the most detailed pieces. After I was done with it on Nomad, I sent it to Blender in which I did the finishing touches and smoothing process.
Maya process and Motion Builder
For the retopology, rigging and skin weights I used Autodesk Maya. I also created a character rig for future use in the project. I had the opportunity to be in a Mocap lab and suit-up to do my own rendition of Pinocchio for which I created a storyboard.
Finishing touches
As for the model, I baked the sculpt onto it and then textured it using a base wood texture on Substance Painter. I also painted specific details to further bring dimension onto the character and make it look as similar as possible to the original design. Finally, I cleaned up the Mocap animation in Motion Builder, created an actor to scale up my subject. Finally, I brought Pinocchio in and baked the Mocap animation onto it, cleaned it up and finalized the processes in Maya.

Don't Fail the Course (2021-2022)
Art Lead & Organization Lead
Welcome to High Score High, the school that perfectly replicates the typical student experience: puzzles and boss fights. With the clock ticking down between each class, our students must sprint from room to room solving puzzles, answering quizzes, and defeating the enemies that wait ready to ruin somebody’s Wednesday. Use power-ups, and sheer willpower to get through the course and make it to the final exam. Will you pass with flying colors? Or is a big F looming in your future?
Main Character & Sprite Sheets
I designed Digit (our main character) and created all seven of their sprite sheets, I collaborated to create the final boss design and its main sprite sheet.Given that we had a bit of a learning curve learning Aseprite software and pixel art, I helped my team by creating design templates and tutorials for them to use in their own sprites and have a consistent look on our style.
GDD (Game Design Document)
From the team's collective effort, I designed the entirety of our GDD in inDesign and populated it with drawings made in Aseprite. The GDD went from a Google Docs document to a fully realized zine. In it, I included pixel art portraits of the team, as a last good-luck-in whatever-comes-next" wish to them and a memento for the future.
Project Management
From the organization side, I created Notion databases for each of our internal teams. Based on these, I laid our stages of assets, weekly team/ individual goals, and timelines which overall gave our team the structure and scope that kept us on track. Additionally, it significantly helped us identify priorities and workflow.

Sword? Sword. (2021)
Model, Texture, Rig & Animation
A little animation of a little person that found a not so little sword.
Process
The entire creation of this was in Autodesk Maya. I did a basic model of it and then exported it to Procreate to texture the UV's. After that I created a character rig for it and lastly, I did the animation based on my own video of a reference. In post-production I just added some sound effects and polished it up.
Kitchen WIP (2021)
Hard Surface Modeling
Hard Surface composition of a little kitchen. It is an old render I am currently revamping, therefore I will be adding color, light & texture soon.
International Loneliness (2021)
Producer, Director, Editor
Artist Statement
This piece is inspired by the double-digit quarantines I have had to go through this pandemic, it is intended to be a lonely piece. It tells the story of any and every international student that relies on video to keep in contact with back home. Loneliness is different when you are not able to go back, where you only have yourself and your four walls to keep you safe, to keep other safe, too.My only communication with the world was through video, be it video diaries, video calls, social media videos, etc. Because of it, I was able to feel less alone, still lonely, but less alone. Both perspectives in the video were with the intent to recognize the good, although minimal, in these depressing times. This work went through so many iterations I lost count. Nothing felt good enough, not even good at all to be honest, but l I however many times I flipped things around and however many file versions I have of this thing, it was worth it to see it being finished.
Dared to Love (too much) (2021)
Writer, Director, Editor
Artist Statement
Dared to Love (too much) is a short story about all the love we can give to people who don’t want it; so much love actually that we end up losing ourselves in the process. As I was growing up I got told so many stories of love, of fate, of found love. I read stories upon stories of people meeting their soulmates, the one and only. You know, that person. And sometimes you feel a connection, and you want nothing but to follow it. So you try to follow that one person that you are meant to find and the one that you are not supposed to chase; throw your heart into it and follow it blindly thinking that you will find love. But sometimes life doesn’t work that way and at the end of the day, you have no one but yourself... and maybe even then you already lost yourself in the process. Sometimes daring to love is too much.
Lore
RED STRING OF FATE
The Red Thread of Fate is commonly thought of as an invisible red cord around the finger of those that are destined to meet one another in a certain situation as they are "their true love". The cord may stretch of tangle, but it is not meant to break.HANAHAKI DISEASE
Hanahaki Disease is a fictional disease where the victim of unrequited or one-sided love begins to vomit or cough up the petals and flowers of a flowering plant growing in their lungs, which will eventually grow large enough to render breathing impossible.

Life Goes On (2022)
Writer, Producer, Editor
Artist Statement
Do you ever feel like you’re on autopilot and you’re just watching life pass you by? This video is a representation of dissociation; of not really experiencing life but more so going through it in between layers of your own life, not really staying in one layer for long. It is a representation of the feeling of being stuck and overwhelmed and numb while the world around you keeps going; sometimes in fast forward, sometimes in layers, sometimes in front of you while you don’t notice it. Sometimes not being able to do anything other than just observe yourself in the third person, as if you are a spectator in your own life.I wanted to create a sense of blurry repetition, the delay of life a person feels sometimes, a duplicated routine in some senses. A representation of my days- the walking through the same streets, across the same intersections, the sitting in school, the bus rides, the house cleaning. The motions and routine of the everyday with a layered twist of static to create the representation of depersonalization and dissociation. I wanted this video to be abstract in nature, to get as blurry as thoughts and vision can get. Sometimes your mind gets stuck and you don’t realize until you’re watching yourself get older, but that’s life sometimes, life goes on.
Lights Trip (2022)
Producer, Director, Editor

Remember that sight when you have tears in your eyes and the world looks blurry and you can’t seem to focus on anything? Or what about that light reflection in your glasses when you’re outside at night in the big city? I thought about light reflection a lot when making this piece. I had epilepsy as a child, so seeing sudden lights was a big “Nope” for me, but the concept has always intrigued me so I began observing every shiny surface that surrounded me and how the light bounced off of it.With this piece, I wanted to represent the **abstraction of lights **with as much clarity and vibrancy of image as I could get, as if we were swimming in a pool of light. I played a lot with the camera focus and used a combination of distortion, blending modes, and lens flare effects to create the illusion of light dilution with seamless transitions and only used one glass, one bowl, aluminum foil, and paper to play with the light that I had available in my room. I wanted to create an experience for the viewer as if they were underwater and all they could see was distorted figures, without actually using water. I wanted to create a light show... or a Lights Trip. It all starts simple, a small rainbow within the yellows and grays, so I began this project with the same base but it wasn’t until the world turned to color that I began to experience the colors somehow, so my piece turns the delicacy of the light from gray and simple to vibrant and stimulating. It is something strange really, how we see light each day but it isn’t until a few rays of sunlight reflect on until it reflects in the right surfaces, that glass vase in the living room for example, that you discover that something ‘plain’ can be transformed with just a little bit of perspective.
